Happy New Year. I guess. For some of these fur babies, happiness will come when they have a nice home filled with love to be with everyday.. Ghiradelli the cat, Baxter and Ed the pups want a home. What keeps going through my mind is Baxter. He has been at the shelter a while. Some think it is the heart murmur issue that hold people back from adopting him. Ed has been there too for a while but why? He does not have a heart murmur. These boys need a nice yard to run and play in, a owner to walk them regularly. Most of all is your unconditional love. When I was there on Friday, I took Gunner with me, (my English Bully). Baxter and Ed were just fine with him. They all shared the occasional but sniff and ear lick. They both wanted pup treats. My Gunner liked marking every area they did (even though this was not his place).
Ghiradelli loved batting at the feather toy. She would chill on her perch from time to time, then took a few swats at the feather toy. Gunner waited outside of the cat area. Ghiradelli was not very happy he was just behind the door to her house, but she still played and eventually ignored Gunner.
I really hope they all have a home by my next visit this month.
